Who is Mamoru?
Currently overseeing the Nissan Design Europe studio, Mamoru is a Vice President and is currently based in London, United Kingdom. He has been with Nissan for over 30 years, and previously served as an Executive Design Director for Nissan. In his current role, he oversees the Nissan Design Europe studio in London, managing a large team of designers and driving the studio's design output. Career History
Mamoru Aoki has been with Nissan for the entirety of his career, having initially joined in 1989, upon graduation from University in Japan, having studied Industrial Design at Chiba University. Upon joining Nissan, he then spent time in Switzerland further studying Art & Design, on top of his day job with Nissan. He was Chief designer of NDE from1998 to 2000 in Munich. He has spent the bulk of his career in HQ in Japan, before moving to London in September of 2017.
